Proverbs 1:2 points to consider
1) Wisdom and instruction are connected.
We need to be studying and following Godly instruction form The Word of God in order to gain wisdom.
2) In order for people to know good Godly wisdom it needs to be taught.
We need to find mentors, leaders and pastors who can teach us good and Godly wisdom, but we also need to always ask ourselves, “Who can we teach Godly instruction and wisdom to?”. We should be continuously receiving as well as giving good Godly instruction and wisdom.
3) We need to comprehend the Word of God to gain wisdom.
We should not just read the Bible, but we should learn to comprehend it. Look for good Bible study guides, good courses at your local church, a good local church, good online sermons and start to gain good Bible comprehension.
4) We need to discern the Word of God to gain wisdom.
It doesn’t help to read scripture out of context, without understand and discerning WHO the passage of scripture was written by, TO WHOM the passage of scripture was addressed to, in WHAT context the passage of scripture was written and HOW it fits into the message of the Bible as a whole.
